GT20/ GT25 Gyrotrak is Airial Robotics‘ super versatile super Workhorse. A disruptive gyro/helicopter hybrid UAV solution advancing flight time, payload, range and speed over other systems. GT20/ GT25 is built for BVLOS with manned aviation in mind. Its unique system inherent safety, night flight and all-weather capability allow for a wide range of applications and ensure a high level of operational readiness.

Safety By Design
Created with manned aviation in mind
Instead of a Toy/RC mindset, our engineers have an aviation background and ensure aviation grade production quality with multi-redundant systems and a certified autopilot.
System inherent safety
The possibility for an autonomous autorotation emergency landing, an emergency battery system, and a glide ratio of 10 sum up to a unique feature allowing a GT20 even if its main energy or motor is lost to autonomously travel and land vertically at a predefined landing site that be up to 10 times as far away as the flying height of the UAV is. A great and unique feature that allows a safe precise and controlled landing. This property is essentially a natural system inherent one, which is given by the aerodynamic structure and the functionality of the gyrocopter.
The GT20 is stronger (up to 6.3kg payload), faster (up to 150km/h) and and more persistent (more than 2 hours flight time) than multicopters and can, in contrast to a VTOL Fixed Wing start, hover and land multiple times during one mission. From medical transport to gas line inspection, from extensive LiDAR supported mapping to search and rescue missions, with the GT20, classic commercial drone missions now reach their next level and its operators have all the options for completely new use cases and applications.
Even more impressive than its pure power is the incredibly high operational readiness. The GT20 is an 24/7 all-weather UAV and defies wind up to BFT8 as well as hot or wet weather (IP65 water resistant). Even on a stormy and rainy night, the GT20 reaches its destination. A clear advantage for the GT20 operator who is able to perform his missions a lot more often than conventional drone pilots.
Unlike traditional drones the GT20 is developed from ground up for missions beyond visual line of sight.
BVLOS Missions have very special requirements for the aircraft. This includes reliable communication over several hundred kilometers, integration into regular airspace, communication with manned aircraft and autonomous emergency programs that react in the event of an incident in a way that protects people and the environment. All of these features, together with low noise emissions and low energy consumption, characterize the GT20 (optional extras required)
Very low noise emission Full Electric Drive Low maintenance and operation cost No local air pollution Refurbishable batteries Efficient operation with low energy consumption Known and accepted single rotor form factor Ability to replace certain manned helicopter missions
Its well-known single-rotor shape does not arouse negative associations, like a multi-rotor drone, because single rotors are known from helicopters in The purely electric drive of the GT20 has several advantages: It does not cause any local pollution, is in connection with the drive concept very quie ensures low maintenance effort and costs. For these reasons and because it even has the potential to replace some very noisy and environmentally missions of man-carrying helicopters.

It was in January 1923, when Spanish Engineer and Aviation enthusiast Juan de la Cierva first flew his own creation at Cuarto Vientos Airfield in Madrid. His target was to invent an aircraft that would fly safely at low speed and could not stall.
Today, a gyrocopter is considered the safest of all aircraft concepts.
A Gyrocopter makes use of the airflow to rotate the main rotor and generate lift (Autorotation).
The result is a very low energy consumption in fast forward flight.
The Gyrotrak behaves like a Gyrocopter in fast forward and like a helicopter in vertical starting, landing and during hovering.
In the unlikely event of a loss of main energy, the GT20 Gyrotrak is able to fly to a pre defined landing site and land autonomously. The emergency landing site distance can be up to 10 times the Gyrotrak’s altitude. With an altitude difference from flight level to landing site of 400m, the landing site can be up to 4km away (without wind).
LIDAR INTEGRATION
The seamless integration of a RIEGL VUX-120 and other LiDAR scanners makes GT25 a perfect machine for large scale mapping operations. The VUX LiDAR’s power supply comes directly from the GT25 battery.
Due to the aerodynamical construction of Gyrotrak and its unique Gyrocopter mode, the UAV has a wide range and very long flight times. But unlike a VTOL fixed wing drone, it is capable of multiple takeoffs and landings as well as unlimited hovering during one mission.
With its optional night flight equipment and its BVLOS abilities, the GT20 is able to perform missions during day and night time. The available low light and thermal cameras as well as the landing spotlight reduce the stress of night operations
Gyrotraks are known for their legendary wind resistance including high gusts. In constant to VTOL fixed wing drones, Gyrotraks are stable in harsh weather conditions especially during takeoff, landing and hovering. With its IP65 protection class, Gyrotrak is also capable of operating in rain.
