This two day in-person seminar is designed to introduce students to thermal and optical inspection principles and measurement systems for predictive maintenance applications. Students will learn how to collect high quality data, accurate temperature readings, and account for measurement effects such as distance and emissivity.
Using the DJI H20T optical and thermal camera payload, students will learn to interpret thermograms and make informed decisions with the latest in infrared inspection reporting software. Students will also learn to distinguish between hot spots and reflections, direct vs indirect readings, and qualitative vs quantitative thermography.
An emphasis will be placed on developing the practical skills necessary to conduct professional manual inspections on building and infrastructure assets like bridges, wind turbines, solar panels, and cell towers.
This seminar is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to perform high-quality, professional drone inspections and analysis for a wide range of use cases.
