Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot License Course

This course will help you pass the FAA Part 107 drone license test – so you can fly drones commercially in the USA.

What does the course cover?

The course will take you through everything you need to know to pass the FAA Part 107 Knowledge Test, including:

• Applicable regulations relating to small unmanned aircraft system rating privileges, limitations, and flight operation
• Airspace classification, operating requirements, and flight restrictions affecting small unmanned aircraft operations
• Aviation weather sources and effects of weather on small unmanned aircraft performance
• Small unmanned aircraft loading and performance
• Emergency procedures
• Crew Resource Management
• Radio communication procedures
• Determining the performance of small unmanned aircraft
• Physiological effects of drugs and alcohol
• Aeronautical decision-making and judgment
• Airport operations
• Maintenance and preflight inspection procedures
• Operation at night

To be eligible to receive your Remote Pilot Certificate, you must:

• Be at least 16 years old
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Be in a physical and mental condition to safely fly a UAS

Study for the Knowledge Test

Obtain an FAA Tracking Number (FTN)
Create an Integrated Airman Certification and Rating Application (IACRA) profile prior to registering for the knowledge test.

Schedule an Appointment
Take the Knowledge Test at an FAA-approved Knowledge Testing Center.

Complete FAA Form 8710-13
Once you’ve passed your test, for a remote pilot certificate (FAA Airman Certificate and/or Rating Application) log in to the FAA Integrated Airman Certificate and/or Rating Application system (IACRA)* to complete FAA form 8710-13.

Don’t forget to register your drone with the FAA

Registration costs $5 and is valid for 3 years. You’ll need a credit or debit card and the make and model of your drone handy in order to register. Learn more about registering your drone.

• Create an account and register your drone at dronezone.faa.gov. Select “Fly sUAS under Part 107.”
• Once you’ve registered, mark your drone (PDF) with your registration number in case it gets lost or stolen.
