PHANTOM 4 PRO V2.0
Update December 2019: DJI has restarted production of the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0. Pre-order now to reserve your unit once stock arrives.
Now with an upgraded propulsion system and quieter propellers to get the perfect nature shots. In addition the Phantom 4 Pro v2.0 is built with the OcuSync transmission system allowing for wireless connection to your DJI Goggles, a truly immersive experience is just a flight away.
New and Improved
Gone are the days of choppy transmission as the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 now features an OcuSync HD transmission. The transmission system supports automatic dual-frequency band switching and connect to the DJI Goggles wirelessly. So you do not need a wired connection when using experiencing the immersive DJI goggles with your own eyes. The camera you get with the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is a 1-inch 20- megapixel sensor capable of shooting 4k/60fps and Burst mode stills at 14 FPS. It also has a Flight Autonomy system includes dual rear vision sensor and infrared sensing systems for a total of 5 directional obstacle sensing and 4 directions of obstacle avoidance.
Camera with 1-Inch 20MP Sensor
With a redesigned camera the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 1-inch 20-megapixel CMOS sensor is made of up of eight elements arranged in seven groups. You now have the world class photography and videography equipment in the sky as this is the first DJI camera to have mechanical shutter, eliminates rolling shutter distortion which can occur when taking photos of images that are fast moving subjects or when flying at high speed. The camera provides you with cameras as powerful as many traditional ground cameras. And with a powerful video processing capable of supporting H.264 4K videos at 60 FPS or H.265 4K at 30fps 100Mbps bitrate. You can be in the front seats of all professional photographers and videographer. The camera also has an advanced sensor and processors to ensure everything is captured with more image detail and the image data needed for advanced post-production.
1-Inch 20-Megapixel CMOS
Sensor size is more important to image quality than number of pixels because a larger sensor captures more information in every pixel, improving dynamic range, signal-to-noise ratio, and low light performance. The 1-inch 20-megapixel CMOS sensor in the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is four times the size of the Phantom 4’s ½.3in sensor. It uses larger pixels and has a max ISO of 12800 as well as increased contrast. Good enough for images to be used immediately, while also capturing enough detail for advanced post-processing.
Production Optimized 4k
With true 4K being the industry standard you can now record with an enhanced video processing system allowing videos to be captured in cinemas and production optimized DCI 4K/60 (4096 x 2160/60FPS) at a bitrate of 100Mbps, enabling you to get hi-resolution slow motion shots. You too can even be like the Wachowskis. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 also supports the H.265 codec. Now you don’t have to wait as along when you are processing the your photos as the H.265 doubles the amount of image processing compared to the H.264, thus allowing you to have an enhanced image quality. High Resolution Lens
The resolution and contrast of lens is critical to image quality, because only a quality lens can capture sharp, vivid photos at high resolutions. You do not have to worry about blurry photos and missing that picture perfect sunset you missed because of technical issues. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 camera has an aerial optimized F2.8 wide-angle lens with a 24mm equivalent focal length. It features eight elements – 2 aspherical – arranged in seven groups that fit into smaller, more compact frame. Its images are consistently detailed with low distortion and low dispersion, ensuring the photos and videos are sharp and vivid. For first time the DJI camera MTF ( Modulation Transfer Function) results have been made public so people can get a better understanding of lens performance.
Capture Every Moment
When you try to capture images moving at high speed you are bound to have blurriness in the photo. That is why with the phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is a drone that uses a mechanical shutter and a large-aperture prime lens. The shutter has a max speed of 1/2000s eliminates rolling shutter distortion. The electronic shutter has also improved with a max shutter speed of 1/8000 seconds, and a new Burst Mode shoot capable of shooting 14 fps at 20 mp to catch the perfect moment.
Infrared Sensing System
You can have a peace of mind with the infrared sensing system placed on the left and right side of the aircraft. This system measure the distance between the aircraft and an obstacle using infrared 3D scanning. The infrared sensing system is able to sense larger areas and measure distance between the aircraft. So you can avoid interference.
See a Different world
The Phantom 4 Pro V 2 connects wirelessly to the DJI goggles, so if you have the DJI goggles you do not have to worry about a wired connection. You are given more freedom with the wireless connection. Connected via OccuSync you can now experience fast and clear FPV flight with low latency. As well as controlling your Phantom with DJI goggles is more intuitive than ever.
Now you don’t have worry about the noise bothering others when you are flying. With the new aerodynamic 9455S propellers and new FOC ESC drivers, improved noise control and sinusoidal current for increased stability. Aircraft noise has been reduced by up to 4dB* (60%) for quieter, more enjoyable flights.
You can now fly longer without have to compromise an shots. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 has max flight time of 30min. You can always use the DJI GO 4 app to ensure your flight time is optimized. The app also calculates distance travelled and more, it will also provide you with alerts when its reaches a minimum safe amount required for a safe journey back to the takeoff point. The drones complex battery management system is designed to prevent over charging and over draining. When placed in longer term storage, batteries will discharge power to maintain good health.
